This healthcare calling has been my whole life…my mother was an amazing Administrator for 25+ years before me, and I can so clearly remember as a little kid going to her facility on holidays and visiting with the residents. Now I have been an Administrator for over 30 years, and I have brought my daughter (and pets!) to visit and put a smile on the residents’ faces!

I learned a long time ago that if an Administrator focuses on excellent patient care, safety, customer service, communication and happy staff then that facility will be a successful one.

Our facility is no longer just for the elderly that have moved in until end of life (although we do have several over 100!)  Last week we discharged home a 23-year-old young man who was here for rehabilitation from a terrible car accident - watching him walk out unassisted to his car was incredible to see! We have served hundreds - if not thousands - of people that needed short-term care and it is fulfilling for sure!

I tell my friends “I hope you don’t need us, but you know Central Island Healthcare is the place to go if you do!”.
