Long-Term Care

In addition to our short-term rehabilitation program, Central Island Healthcare also boasts a vibrant long-term care program. These units are designed for seniors who are unable to continue living alone at home, and now require 24-hour skilled nursing care.
All of our Residents are assigned a primary care physician who will oversee their medical care. Our Residents are also provided with the full plethora of medical services as the need may arise – mental health, wound care, dental, eye-care, podiatry, etc. Each Resident’s care is also overseen by our team of nurses, social workers, case managers, dieticians, and therapists.

The Therapeutic Recreation Personnel

Our therapeutic recreation personnel provide our Residents with first class entertainment and mental stimulation every day of the week. From professional singers, dancers, and musicians, to social gatherings and frequent road trips – our residents are always having a good time and enjoying the best that life has to offer.
Understanding the importance of Religion in one’s life, Residents are frequently visited by local representatives from virtually all faiths to provide religious services and council.
Our long-term residents enjoy a life full of happiness and self-fulfillment. Residents are nurtured by our loving staff members who now become a part of their extended family.
